Ford should support NDP motion for safe re-opening of outdoor amenities

THUNDER BAY - MPP Judith Monteith-Farrell (Thunder Bay – Atikokan) is calling on the province to support an NDP motion to safely re-open outdoor amenities.

“Doug Ford’s decision to close outdoor activities was a mistake, it wasn’t backed by the his own science table, and it just doesn’t make sense. Many residents have reached out to me and they are frustrated that outdoor activities are so restricted. The Ford government should have provided clear guidelines to safely re-open outdoor recreational spaces. Being outside and enjoying physical activity is healthy and should be encouraged, not outlawed. I encourage this government to listen to the people of Thunder Bay, and Ontario, and pass our motion to re-open outdoor amenities."

NDP Deputy Leader Sara Singh will force a vote on a motion Monday calling on the Ford government to safely re-open outdoor amenities in the province immediately.
